Happily Chequered

When I was in high school, I used to hang out with friends in a store everybody would love to go called Lovely Lace, where they sell all sorts of gifts for ladies, very very lovey dovey teddy bears, pot pourris, scrunchies, hats, bags and accessories FULL OF LOVE. A few of my scrunchies featured are inspired by Lovely Lace.

I can still recall the shop fragrance that can be smelled from as far as five doors away, I'm not kidding. Man, how can I resist to go in when the whole store is full of roses and loves. The best thing is when you leave, the aroma stays in your nose for a full minute if not two.

I think Lovely Lace should be paying me for this! :)

LET'S DO THIS TOGETHER!!
Do you know that you can produce something very useful other than fertilizer from vegetables and fruit peels and at the same time help the environment by reducing garbage? This is how.
All you need is : One (1) clean empty cooking oil bottle or any plastic bottle with a wide mouth opening, any fruit peels and rinds, carrot/radish shavings or vegetables, water and plain sugar
Ratio for making enzyme
Sugar : 1 : 200gm : 500 gm
Fruit Peels : 3 : 600gm : 1.5kg
Water : 10 : 2 liter : 5 liter
Ratio for using enzyme
1 part of enzyme : 10 parts of water
Instructions :
1. Collect your fruit peels according to the above ratio.
2. Fill up the bottle with water.
3. Add in sugar and fruit peels.
4. Close the cap tightly and loosen the cap to release the air that is produced during the fermentation process. You may stir it using a chopstick once in a while to ensure sufficient air gets in for fermentation. In 3 months they are good for use.
Tips : The more citrus fruit peels you put in, the more refreshing aroma your all-purpose enzyme would me. The longer you store it the stronger it will get. It's an excellent all purpose cleaner. I've tried it and it is proven effective. Oh yea, remember to leave some space on top of the bottle for the enzymes to breathe.
Benefits
  • Chemical free, so it's safe to use for the whole family.
  • Can be added together with your washing liquids or detergents (washing clothes, dishes, cars, floors) for an extra clean and kills germs too.
  • Surprisingly, it keeps insects away. If you mop your floor with enzyme often then you will notice that the ants and mosquitoes are lesser.
  • Just add enzyme to water and soak your grapes for half an hour. Voila! They are pesticide free and ready to be eaten!
  • If you wash your hair with diluted enzyme, you get a shiny, tingling clean hair in a long run.
Can you believe it, even rubbish can be recycled! :) Good, we are leaving lesser footprint!
